On Sunday Brandon Bufton achieved something matched by no other player in WMBL history. Bufton recorded at least one hit in 26 straight games. In the first game of the day, Bufton smacked a single to centre field on the second pitch he saw of the game. That hit tied him for the record at 25. The player he tied was former Bull, Ridge Gonsoulin who set the mark in 2012. Ridge and Brandon were teammates at Louisiana State University at Shreveport which goes to show how close some baseball lines run. In the second game of the Bulls double header, Bufton hit a sharp ground ball through the left side of the infield in the 3rd inning to extend his streak to 26. The Bulls bench erupted when the ball found a hole, clearly knowing what was at stake. Brandon will look to extend his streak when the Bulls head to Medicine Hat Wednesday. The achievement came on Bulls Pink in the Park day at Spitz Stadium. Congratulations to Brandon Bufton on a truly amazing accomplishment.
