The families, friends, fans and teammates of Tanner Craswell and Mitch Maclean were forced to say goodbye far too early, having lost the two former Lethbridge Bulls in a tragic shooting in mid-December.

Tomorrow night at Spitz Stadium, a baseball community will come together for an emotional night of tribute.

The Lethbridge Bulls, Vauxhall Academy of Baseball (VAB) Jets, and Prairie Baseball Academy will be hosting the Tanner Craswell & Mitch MacLean Memorial Game on Wednesday night at 7:05 PM.

The game will begin without a second basemen or shortstop. The numbers 13 and 6 will be stenciled in the infield dirt, and the initials TC and MM will be cut into the outfield grass.

For Austin Cooper, former teammate of both Craswell and Maclean, helping organize the event has been a winter-long effort.

"This game has been played annually, and it was an obvious choice to rename the game to honor the two boys after the events of last December," said Cooper. "We know how hard they played the game and how hard they competed. They were the ultimate teammates and friends and that's how they will always be remembered."

All proceeds from the Memorial Game will go into the Tanner Craswell & Mitch MacLean Memorial Fund. All Little League players get free admission to the game.
